White Infinity Dress – A Wedding Wardrobe Stable

White infinity dress is a perfect piece for any bride’s wedding wardrobe. This soft and slightly shiny convertible twist and wrap dress is a great choice whether you use it as a rehearsal dinner dress, reception dress or as an actual wedding dress.

Infinity dress turns into several beautiful styles and you can style it differently during the wedding day. After the wedding pack it with you to the honeymoon and you’ll have an elegant gown to all those romantic dinner dates.

We offer infinity dresses in 23 colors, but the absolute favorites for brides have been cream, silk white and snow white. In the blogpost  pictures you see our snow white infinity dress in maxi length styled in several different ways.

The hair accessories in the pictures are Anya Turban Headband and Midsummer Rose Pins. Both are available at Heili Bridal’s shop. Pictures by talented Sirpa from Piirto Photography, operating from Savonlinna Finland.

1. One Shoulder White Infinity Dress For Trendy Bride

This one shoulder style is like straight from Acropolis temple. It’s at the same time very classic and also modern with its simplicity. This is a sturdy and easy to tie style that typically doesn’t need pins or fashion tape to stay put. You can even cover bra band by rolling the straps lover on the back or using a tube top underneath.

2. Romantic Era Of Jane Austen

This is hands down one of my favorite looks from our photoshoot – cap sleeves and empire waist give the air of Austen heroines with their regency fashions. This is again easy style to tie and easy to accessorize. Try adding pearl or rhinestone brooches to the straps for some bling.

3. Tie The Knot With White Infinity Dress

Knots are wonderful way to create different styles. Here is two versions of grecian style knotted straps. The first is a beautiful two straps plus sweetheart style. If the sweetheart tie feels like slipping, just use two small safety pins to attach the straps. The second style has lovely little cap sleeves made with the help of knots and a statement back!

4. From Full Coverage To Strapless

Here the white infinity dress really shines as a wedding gown – you can choose your own coverage. You need to get your shoulders covered for church? No problem! Want to shine on the dance floor with strapless dress, just change the style. TIP: for strapless styles, get a good bustier or long strapless bra that stays put and tuck the infinity dress straps in between the bra and skin.

5. Princess Gown With White Infinity Dress Overlay

This extra tulle hem transforms simple white infinity dress into a dreamy princess wedding gown. Customise your basic infinity dress with the overlay of your own choice. Later during the reception you can lose the extra hem and change into sleek and sexy style for the evening. Whether you’re looking for tulle, lace, chiffon or anything else, we search the fabric according your wishes and deliver the ready made overlay with your infinity dress.

We’re happy to do customised infinity dresses with overlays, slits, extra wide hems ect.  Just contact us!

Royal Wedding Inspiration – 6 Trends To Steal From Royal Weddings

Royal Wedding Inspiration – 6 Trends To Steal From Royal Weddings

Royal wedding inspiration is ageless and elegant – perfect for brides searching for classy wedding ideas. Royal weddings are huge trendsetters in every decade. Scale and formality is something that sets them apart from other weddings but even if you’re not having a 600+ guest royal event you can pick the best and most beautiful aspects of royals weddings to use in your own.

Royal Wedding Inspiration

I love royal weddings! The biggest ones are broadcast all over the world and the smaller ones covered in local magazines and web pages. No matter the scale they are always beautiful, magical events with stylish details and classic beauty.

In this blogpost I go over six different trends from european royal weddings that can be easily recreated in your wedding. Many of these tips have something to do with wedding dress and bride’s outfit that I talk in more detail, but I have listed even more ideas in the end of this blogpost.

These trends, ideas and inspiration are perfect if you want to have traditionally beautiful, classy and elegant and bit old fashioned romantic wedding. So keep reading and have a fabulous time planning your own wedding. Don’t forget to download our FREE wedding theme planner to help you up.

Here is my 6 royal wedding trends for you to use!

1. Small Wedding Bouquets

I don’t know if small bouquets are something royal brides choose for practicality, but I certainly love the tiny bouquets. This trend has certainly been growing in 2010’s after big bouquets of 90′ and 00’s.

Whether you check Kate’s or Meghan’s bouquet or Princess Alina of Romania, you see each of those is a smallish arrangement. Even Pippa Middleton sported a beautiful small bouquet a’la royal style.

More and more brides opt for locally grown flowers which is great! If royal brides carry flowers like sweet williams, forget-me-knots and garden roses it’s all the more reason for us as well give up blooms flown in from elsewhere of the world.

2. Traditional Flower Girls and Page Boys

Flower girls and page boys with their white dresses and breeches are something that screams a society wedding for me. Having small children walk before the wedding couple is a symbol of growing up, fertility and losing of youthful innocence and stepping into the world of adults.

Nowadays the symbolism is not that meaningful perhaps, as many couples are closer their 30’s. Still the traditional look of white taffeta dresses, white stockings, peter pan or sailor collars and wide sashes is still very ageless and sweet. Totally one of my favorite royal wedding inspiration element to use.

3. Bateau Necklines

The most famous of them right now is probably Meghan Markle’s wedding gowns. But bateau necklines has been seen in royal weddings before Meghan. For example Princess Victoria of Sweden wore a bateau neckline as well as her sister Princess Madeleine. It was also seen on Mary Donaldson when she married Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark.

I believe the biggest draw to the bateau neckline is how it leaves the decoltée open and shows a bit of skin in a tasteful way even with long sleeved styles that are often seen in royal weddings.

4. Tiaras

This is very obvious royal wedding inspiration, because what is more royal than tiaras? Tiaras are making a true comeback along with veils to the wedding fashion after being ‘out’ for many years. In recent years tiaras have been often seen worn quite far back from the forehead so the tiara is more in an upwards position.

The hairdo accompanying it is often a low bun, although Kate wore her hair open back in 2011. The bun can be messy, sleek, oversize… Plenty of variations from a very simple, yet elegant style! The best thing is, that you don’t have to pick a huge tiara for yourself as many tiaras can be quite low.

5. White Bridesmaid Dresses

All white bridal party is often something that common brides shy away from. White bridesmaid dresses, flower girls and page boys has been quite a typical view at royal weddings in the recent years and before. In all white they make a sweet entourage for the princess bride of the day.

The dress style for bridesmaids and the maid of honor is typically sleeker and more minimalistic. One of the big trend setter for modern all white bridesmaid style was definitely Pippa Middleton at her sister’s wedding 2011. That was some serious royal wedding inspiration!

6. Long Veil And Train

Princess Eugenie’s lack of veil was noted as a nod to her work to spread information about scoliosis. Otherwise most royal brides have been wearing a veil and their dresses often have a train. Long veils and trains have typically been seen as a part of royal wedding dress code and they work well in big, formal chapels the royal weddings typically take place.

Statement veils have been listed as one of 2019 wedding trends and I’m super happy to seen them in fashion again! Veils are something you will wear only at your wedding, so take that chance. A good rule of thumb when deciding your train and veil lenght is that the larger and more formal the ceremony site, the longer the train and veil.

If you’re worried about how to move in a dress with a train, talk with your seamstress about bustling the train up or making a detachable train. You can see one in the down left on Princess Victoria’s wedding gown.

And There’s Plenty of More Royal Wedding Inspiration!

High society weddings are often beautiful mix of traditional and new wedding elements. Typically they are big and formal events but even if you’re having a small, intimate wedding there’s plenty of things you can pick from royal weddings.

I listed some other wonderful elements for you to use at your own wedding. Mix and match things you love and don’t hesitate to use them at your ceremony or reception. Here is some more royal wedding inspiration!

Other Elements To Use From Royal Weddings:

Flower arches at church door

White letterpress stationary

Monogram

Speeches

Blusher veil

Long sleeved wedding dress

Horse-drawn carriage

Vintage car

Dress code: hats

Multi layer wedding cake with white frosting

Minimalist and White Wedding Inspiration

Minimalist and White Wedding Inspiration

White and green in definitely one of our favorite color combination for a relaxed summer wedding. It’s effortless and that is why it’s so fitting for a minimalist and scandinavian theme. We added few rustic details to keep the theme interesting – rustic details are a key to a perfect Hygge wedding.

How to achieve the scandinavian white and green wedding?

Greenery is the important part of this wedding theme and you can spot it everywhere. The details, the table, bouquet and invitation. We always say that if you want a big impact but don’t want to buy disposable stuff then your best bet is plants and candles.

The brides are wearing simple wedding looks. One has a sateen wrap top paired with a layered skirt and a beautiful white wreath. The other has a minimalist two piece crepe gown consisting a top with lace cap sleeves and a mermaid skirt. Her hair is styled with matching flower pins.

The aisle is decorated with lots of lush greens and some lanterns. The feeling is very light and fresh and the same theme continues to the reception where the table is set with lots of white, green and bronze. To compliment the theme the white cake is decorated with olive leaves and single rose.

The invitation is simple and classic: a delicate wreath surrounds the couple’s initials. The bridal bouquet is a real show stopper with massive amount of greenery and white flowers – some of them are wild flowers!

2019 Wedding Trends – Statement Floral Veils

2019 Wedding Trends – Statement Floral Veils

One of the biggest trends in 2019 are 3D flowers and veils. Well, I have to say that we are so in board with that one! According to Harper’s BazaarDesigners are encouraging that brides see veils as not only an add-on to the gown, but as a part of an overall look” which means that you should probably think about the veil way before you make up your mind about the dress. We have gathered our favorite bridal veils to kick start the thinking process.

Flower Veils For Summer Brides

Nothing says summer like flowers – or weddings like a veil. Veil is a perfect statement accessory for your wedding look and can lift up an otherwise simple style and it also makes a beautiful keepsake.

The floral veil trend embraces the boho bride but is equally fitting for a minimalist and elegant wedding style. Just like a fresh flower bouquet goes with absolutely anything you too can find a blossoming veil to go with your style.

Blossom Veil – The Elegant Floral Veil

Our blossom veils is perfect for brides looking for elegant style with a touch of nature. It’s made with hand cut flowers and leaves attached with glass beads. A delicate embroidered vine connects the flowers.

The Blossom Veil is a link between formal and boho and can be styled up and down. The veil is available in three different lengths: fingertip, floor, and chappel length.

Selene Veil – Almost Like Apple Blossoms

Selene flower veil is our pick for the sweet bride. This flower veil has cascading flowers, which start with higher density from the hair comb and gently fade out towards the hem of the veil.

Selene Veil goes well with a romantic tulle wedding gown or a more minimalistic dress like in the pictures.

The Anthea Veil – Drop Veil with Delicate Flowers

If you want the iconic moment of lifting the veil then our Anthea Veil might be the right for you. Cut in full circle it comes in fingertip length and the hem is embellished with hand cut flowers and glass beads. With different styling Anthea Veil is perfect for a modern city wedding or a bohemian garden party.

This veil is secured to your hair do with few pins and it can be styled to to top of your head or to create an asymmetrical style making it longer from the back.

There you go! Tell us in the comments have you thought about getting a veil for your bridal look?

I got a sudden urge for bohemian beach wedding, I’m eagerly waiting for summer right now!

Think about warm July or August days when sky is light blue, almost silvery and even the wind is warm. This wedding inspiration is designed to bring exotic white beach to more nordic environment, possibly to lakeside. The colorway is monochromatic one that moves from blush via sandy beige to ivory white.

How to achieve the blush beach wedding?

For this blush and sand wedding theme we chose simple invitations which play with warm tones of sand. Similar colorway carries through the whole wedding with flowers, ceremony arch drapery and wooden signs. Weathered wood takes you instantly to lakesides and seashores.

The cake design is simple and quite abstract with the marble surface and small gold accents. Similar gold accents can be also found from the stationary. The organic shapes of cake decorations keep in line with the natural style and feel.

The bridal look is light and bohemian with soft draping dress and lace overlay. For groom similar style could be achieved with linen suit and relaxed canvas shoes.

Moody Black & Burgundy Summer Wedding Inspiration

Summer wedding can be so much more than just light colors and delicate flowers. We are in love with this darker summer wedding theme! Usually when I think about summer weddings my mind is filled either with light and breezy tones or bright rainbow palette. I can’t be the only one, right? But why not go for a darker wedding theme?

Think about dark August (even September) nights, candles lush garden flowers. Dark base gives depth for other colors. Did you notice how those white flowers pop?

How to achieve a beautiful dark wedding theme?

For this black and burgundy wedding theme we chose elegant invitations with black envelopes and floral insert. The whole theme is visible right away! Similar design carries to the table setting and menu cards where you can see gold details on black. The table is set with black on black and only flowers bring color to the setting.

The cake design has the same theme as the invitations. The three tier cake has a smooth black surface that makes the white and red flowers pop beautifully!

The bridal look is strong and she is wearing a black flower wreath with dark amethyst jewellery. Bridal bouquet consists of huge flowers with lush green branches. Big roses, olive branches and dark red peonies with delicate white cornflowers make this bouquet rich and multidimensional. Same style can be seen on the boutonniere.

What a beautiful and dramatic style! Would you consider dark theme for your wedding?
