Heili Bridal at Love Me Do Autumn Fair 2019

Heili Bridal took part of Love Me Do Autumn fair 2019. After few weeks of rest we uploaded the pictures and wanted to share the wedding fair day with you. Thank you for all the wonderful brides, maid of honors, colleagues and basically everyone who stopped by to say hi and chat about fashion, weddings and style.

Love Me Do Autumn Fair 2019

Oh boy, we have been busy lately! One of our big event was taking part to Love Me Do Autumn Fair 2019 at Helsinki. We put together our fair display together with a gold smith Laura Darth, whose jewels has been seen in most of Heili Bridal’s photoshoots. Laura’s blush engagement ring ‘Pretty in Pink’ was the absolute star of the jewel display. You can read more about Laura and her ring from this blog post.

The fair day was super eventful for us as we had gowns in two separate fashion shows including the competition for the wedding dress designer of the year. On top of that we also had amazing hairdresser Nelli Ruhanen making magical speed hairdos for brides to be so they could try on Heili Bridal’s headpieces. The beautiful flowers were made by Tanja at Floramore.

‘Pretty in Pink’ engagement ring was the star of the jewellery display. The blush engagement ring By Laura Darth piece and it competes of the title ‘Most beautiful ring of the year 2019’.

Nelli from Lyrelia and Lyyli weddings helps a bride to visualize her wedding day hairdo possibilities – Iida tells about hair pieces and how they can be used. All three pictures above by Valo Films.

Fashion Shows and Competition

Both Valentin and I were accepted as finalists to the wedding dress designer of the year competition. The summer for us was largely getting ready for this event and at least my stomach was full of butterflies during the fair day. By a stroke of good luck we had one model who also modeled the same competition dress at Olavinlinna photoshoot at the end of August. We were super happy to have Sierra with us again. <3 Big hugs and thanks go to all of our other models too.

The theme of the year in the competition was body positivity and everyone had to present at least one plus sized wedding dress. Picture by Laura Pensasmäki.

It’s fun to relive the day again with you via the photos. The day was so intense that we really couldn’t stop to take it all in during it. It’s amazing to see the photos afterwards so another thank you goes to people at Valo Films who we have had a pleasure to work with before, and Laura Pensasmäki and Arto Jaatinen who captured the day! Heili Bridal at Love Me Do 2019 Wedding Fair

Heili Bridal took part to the Love Me Do 2019 Winter Fair in January. Love Me Do is the biggest wedding fair in Finland and we were really exited (and nervous!) as it was our first big wedding fair. Again we collaborated together with the jewellery brand By Laura Darth who was part of our trip to Paris Fashion Week in autumn 2018. Flowers at Love Me Do 2019

Our fair stand took big inspiration from spring flowers and beautiful nature. We used fake wisteria made from branches and white tissue paper and real flowers to achieve the romantic spring wedding decor. I think the main color was that beautiful dusty pink that’s to trendy still.

With flowers we used eucalyptus, baby’s breath, carnations and lillies. The whole fair was filled with flowers! Our assistant walked in and said this must have been the best smelling fair she had ever attended, the place was brimming with that special scent cut flowers have. 

See the three of us in that picture down here? Uuu, we were so exited and nervous, it was taken just when the doors were opened. I think you can see the mild panic in our faces, hahahha! The other picture is the lovely, short infinity dress that I’m going to tell you guys next. Keep scrolling dow!

 

Infinity Dress For Bridesmaids And Wedding Guests

My big task for the Love Me Do 2019 Winter Fair -weekend was giving Infinity dress tutorials for fair guests. I spent most of the weekend by tying our blush colored infinity dress in every possible way I could imagine. It was super fun and I got to explain the dress and how it works for plenty of people which was great. I love to share! We also had a giveaway and one of the persons visiting our booth won an infinity dress. She was pretty exited about it when we mailed about it this week. 🙂

By Laura Darth – jewels fit for brides

As I said before we collaborated with By Laura Darth jewellery brand. Laura got a wonderful idea to use glass cloches for small showpieces. They looked really nice in the booth and we just can’t get over how well our brands work together – I mean look at the pictures! Perfect color harmony. <3

Heili Bridal- The Fashion Show

Heili Bridal also took part to the Love Me Do 2019 -fashion show. Here is one of our favorite pictures of one of the three looks. The birdcage veil is a new one and we finally got to do the lace and tulle vape we have been planning the last year or so. I’m happy to tell you that there will be more dresses and accessories coming. I fell in love with that cape and we are continuing the collection with similar items.

The picture is taken by Karri and Kati Wihersaari and it shows the sweetest Anna Taimi who at first shared the pic at her instagram. We got so lucky with our models! They were so great and later told us that they had really liked the looks we created. That’s one of the highest compliments for me. 

It was intensive and love filled weekend for us at the Love Me Do 2019 Winter Fair. We are already planning our fall fair entry. In the meantime keep up with Heili Bridal at Instagram and Pinterest so you won’t miss a thing!

We teamed with Laura together in Paris for several photoshoots and found out that our styles go really well together! Both Heili Bridal and By Laura Darth draw inspiration from gardens and nature and love gentle shapes with a touch of Scandinavian minimalism.

Paris Fashion Week Autumn 2018: Heili Bridal SS19 Collection Charleston

Bold bridal headpieces and dreamy gardens. Heili Bridal presented their third collection Charleston at Paris Fashion Week in autumn 2018. The collection is inspired by our own honeymoon in Great-Britain at Charleston Farmhouse. With this collection we returned to it’s lush gardens and artistic rooms dreaming to go back someday. The collection is now available at our Shop. 

The collection was presented in a fashion show by Oxford Fashion Studio and was held at a ballroom in a Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand in the first of October during Paris Fashion Week 2018.

Paris Fashion Week 2018 – Behind The Scenes With Heili Bridal

Heili Bridal got a wonderful chance to participate to Paris Fashion Week together with evening gown brand Riikka Couture and jewellery brand By Laura Darth. Our trip to Paris in the autumn 2018 was epic and full of photoshoots and as a cherry on top a big fashion show. Heili Bridal fashion shoots in paris

Fashion shoots in Paris are a classic! We spent the first two days shooting in different locations in Paris together with Laura from By Laura Darth. Our models Joanne, Emilia and Katariina were the best! The days began at the hotel room were the models were prepared and day’s outfits decided.

The metro of Paris became very familiar to us. The locations were everything between small parks and streets of Paris to the best known landmarks and tourist spots like Louvre and Eiffel Tower. The first day of shooting was very warm and summery and we actually got a light tan! 

One of the photoshoots stretched late into the evening and tested the stamina of the whole group. Wind helped to create wonderful pictures but felt freezing when it blew through the clothes. I think everybody was equally happy when they got food and warm bed to sleep in after that day. 

 

Heili Bridal – Preparing for fashion show

Fitting day for the fashion show with Oxford Fashion Studio was busy and hectic. Everything was late as is typical for things with this many models and designers. Fittings had to be done in 30 minutes which is very short time when you have six dresses, six sets of jewels, six pieces of headwear and models we had seen only in pictures the day before. We only needed to change one model in the end and ended up adding another Finn to our group, Riina Seise, who arrived straight from the airport to the fitting. It was a really nice surprise!

Tourists in Paris

For one day we had a chance to play tourists and walk around the city centre enjoying the views. The best things in Paris were the pretty buildings and good weather. The light had ethereal quality that you can’t really find in North.  

Heili Bridal- The Fashion Show

The actual show night was fabulous! The buzzling beehive of the backstage was very homey, our theatre experience really paid off then and nerves were soothed. Things went well and what would it be if there weren’t few small mishaps. It’s all part of the live event! 

We at Heili Bridal would like to thank everybody who participated to this adventure with us: Petra, Emilia, Laura and Riikka especially. One big thank you goes to Mika and Olga who gave help when it was needed and for that we’re eternally grateful. Big thank you for everybody in Oxford Fashion Studio, you were all very welcoming and helpful, it was pleasure to work with you!
