How to use fern in your wedding?

Greenery is the important part of this wedding theme and you can spot it everywhere. The details, the table, bouquet and invitation. We always say that if you want a big impact but don’t want to buy disposable stuff then your best bet is plants and candles.

Ferns are coming back big time after long rein of silvery eucalyptus in wedding bouquets and decoration. They are wonderful choice for greenery as they grow locally in almost every climate and can be found in several interesting shapes and sizes. In folklore finding a blooming fern is considered lucky, the joke is that ferns don’t bloom nor they produce seeds in real life.

For woodland weddings ferns are absolutely perfect, but they look equally stunning in minimalist or classic wedding styles. Use ferns en masse to create lush green forms or as singular statement leaves to really bring out their interesting shape.

Fern Wedding Inspiration – where to focus

The obvious place to use ferns is that bridal bouquet and table setting and in this styling you can see them with and without other flowers – both looking great! You could also try mixing different kinds of ferns.

The wedding cake can also be decorated with ferns, and why not using the plant in the stationary you need at the venue? For invitations we recommend going with illustration because the plant doesn’t keep well in an envelope.

The bridal couple can easily incorporate fern in their looks. For a simple bridal style add a fern like hair accessory. The groom can wear the theme foliage as a boutonniere.

This is only one example of ferns in wedding decor, so don’t be afraid to use your imagination!
