Classic Blue is a truly ageless color and named a classic for a reason. The hue is seen in the vast evening sky just when stars are starting to appear, in the beautiful tone of deep blue flowers or in the royal shine of the safirs. As Pantone writes “Classic Blue is elegant in its simplicity — Associated with the return of another day, this universal favorite is comfortably embraced.”
All of this makes the Pantone 2020 Classic Blue a great wedding color. This particular blue or at least tones next to it can be found in flowers, fabrics, tableware and inks, so it’s easy to incorporate it to wedding decorations and visuals of the day.
In our wedding inspiration board we have combined the classic blue with soft silvery sage green and ivory white. Most of the green comes via leaves and greenery, while the white acts as a base for the blue to shine on. The Pantone 2020 Classic Blue looks great on small details, but it works equally well in bigger surfaces like suits or tablecloths.
The Classic Blue is very versatile color, beautiful and we are excited to see all the ways it can be used in weddings.
