Infinite Styles With a Convertible Dress
This blog post is all about infinity dress accessories. The convertible dress can be worn several different ways just by tying the straps differently. When we add in the accessories like belts or overlays, the possibilities are basically infinite. Hence the name infinity dress.
Graciously my sister Linda said yes when I asked her to model the infinity dress for this blog post. We used our maxi length infinity dress in the color champagne and a tube top that comes with the dress.
Five Different Infinity Dress Accessories
We used five infinity dress accessories for styling five different looks. We picked items that most of us already have in one form or the other, or which can be easily found.
The accessories are:
– belt
-necklace
– brooch
– circle bangle bracelt
– overlay skirt
1. Infinity Dress Accessories – Belt
Belt is one of the easiest accessories to use with infinity dress. It can be a sparkly one like in the picture, or something more casual like a sash or satin ribbon. Belts are great infinity dress accessories as they can really change the feel of the dress for different occasions.
2. Infinity Dress Accessories – Necklace
This is bit more specific as the necklace will be used as a collar in halter-neck dress, so it needs to be sturdy enough to hold. In the shoot we used double pearl necklace, but other great choice is a hard collar type metal necklaces for example. You might need to tie the dress more gently than you usually do so it doesn’t pull too hard on your neck.
3. Infinity Dress Accessories – Brooch
Brooches are my most used infinity dress accessories. They can be used to secure that everything stays as you want, or just decorating the dress. Sparkly rhinestone brooch like the one in the picture adds instant wow factor to infinity dress. I like to always get a pair of smaller brooches so I can use them symmetrically on each strap if I want, like an Ancient Greek goddess!
4. Infinity Dress Accessories – Bangle bracelet
This is a fun one! With any ring like shape you can turn and twist the straps without knots and the end result is more flush to your body than by tying. Bangle or a big ring also adds the focal point to the dress. You can add formality or casualty depending from what kind of material the bracelet is made of. You can search these infinity dress accessories from any clothing store jewel stand.
5. Infinity Dress Accessories – Skirt Overlay
Overlays are a great way to upgrade infinity dress to the next level. The patterned ones add interest and versatility, where lace, chiffon and tulle work extremely well in more formal occasions. If you’re considering infinity dress as a wedding dress, getting a white soft overlay raises it definitely to the occasion. In the picture we used gold lace overlay. In Heili Bridal we do custom overlays by order.
